Last Saturday the Independent did a Green List 2007 of 20 people really shaping our future. Carl Hiaasen was listed at 17 thanks to his savagely funny and addictive crime novels which have reached a vast audience.

I remember 'Little House in the Big Woods'! It's been so long. My mother read to me before I was born and all during my childhood. I totally agree. Some of my favorite memories are my parents reading to me every night before I went to bed. I still remember some of these books by heart. My wife and I carry on this tradition today with our children, reading to them every night. As the kids get older I am enjoying getting into some more interesting books; we just finished Lit more…
